IV Show
TermsLast updated: [Month DD, 2026]
These terms are the agreement between you and [Legal entity name] ("IV Show," "we," "us") for using iv.show and the IV Show apps. By creating an account or buying a ticket, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy notice.
What IV Show isIV Show is a digital movie theater for independent cinema. Around [100] titles are chosen by hand. Each title plays for a set period, called a run, then rotates out to make room for new ones. You watch a title by buying a ticket to a screening of it, not by paying for access to everything. Some screenings are premieres, where the filmmaker is present and takes questions live.Access is by invitation only. IV Show is available on the web and through apps for iOS and Android. The titles on IV Show belong to their filmmakers and rights holders. A ticket gives you a personal, limited right to watch that title for your own private viewing, within the terms of that ticket. It does not transfer any ownership of the title to you.Titles, run dates, and screening times can change, and some titles may not be available in every country. We will show you the run dates and any country limits before you buy.
Accounts and profilesInvites. You need an invite code to create an account. Each code works once, belongs to the person it was given to, and may not be sold. We may decline invite requests and withdraw unused codes.Eligibility. You must be 18 or older, give accurate information, and create only one account. An account is for one person and cannot be transferred.Security. Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. If you think someone else has accessed it, change your password and tell us at [support@iv.show].Your profile. Each account has one profile: a display name and an optional image. Your profile is shown to other people in premiere rooms. It must not impersonate anyone, use someone else's name or brand, or contain offensive material. We may change or remove a display name or image that breaks this rule.Streams. Your account can stream on up to [1] device at a time.
Membership and ticketsTickets. A ticket gives one account one seat at one screening of one title. Each screening has a limited number of seats, and once they are gone, the screening is sold out.For on-demand screenings, your ticket is valid until the end of the title's run. The watch window starts when you press Play, not when you buy. From that moment, you have [48 hours] to finish watching, or until the run ends if that comes first. We will show you the run's end date before you buy.Tickets are personal. They cannot be transferred, gifted, or resold [unless IV Show later offers a gifting feature].Membership. Membership lowers the price you pay for tickets [and gives you early access to premiere seats]. Membership does not unlock any title on its own. Every title still requires a ticket.Membership renews automatically at the end of each [monthly / yearly] period at the current price, charged to your saved card, until you cancel. For yearly memberships, we email you [7] days before renewal. You can cancel at any time in Account > Billing. Your membership keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.If we change the membership price, we will tell you at least [30] days before the change. The new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.Payment. Prices are shown in US dollars and [include / do not include] applicable taxes. Tickets and membership are bought on iv.show through Stripe. The apps let you watch what you have bought, but do not sell tickets or membership inside the app.Refunds. If you have not pressed Play, you can ask for a refund within [7] days of buying the ticket, as long as the run has not ended. Once you have pressed Play, the ticket is used. If we cancel a screening, or a fault on our side stops you watching, we will give you a full refund or a replacement ticket, whichever you choose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.
Premiere nights and the roomTiming. Premieres start at a set time, shown on your ticket in [Eastern Time] and in your local time. The room opens [30] minutes before the start. Everyone watches together, so a live premiere cannot be paused or rewound. If you arrive late, you join the screening in progress. [After the premiere, ticket holders can watch the title on demand until the end of its run.]Filmmakers and guests. We plan each premiere with the filmmaker or guests present, but plans can change. If a guest cannot attend, the screening goes ahead and your ticket stands. If a premiere is cancelled or moved to another date, you can choose a full refund or a seat at the new date. The room. Chat messages and questions are visible to everyone in the room, alongside your display name. IV Show moderates every room. Moderators may remove messages, mute people, or remove people from the room. There is no refund if you are removed for breaking these terms. The host chooses which questions are put to the filmmaker, and not every question will be answered.Recording. [We may record the Q&A portion of a premiere and publish it on IV Show. If your question is used, your display name and the text of your question may appear in the recording.]Your connection. You need a stable internet connection to watch. If a problem on our side stops a premiere from playing, we will give you a refund or a replacement ticket.
What you may not doIndependent films are made with limited budgets, and one leaked copy can cost a filmmaker their release. When using IV Show, you may not:1. Record, screen-capture, photograph, rebroadcast, or share any part of a title or a premiere.2. Get around the video protection, use download tools, or use a VPN or similar tool to bypass country restrictions.3. Share your login, or sell or transfer tickets or invite codes.4. Show titles in public or for business purposes, including in bars, venues, events, or classrooms, without our written permission. Tickets are for private viewing only.5. Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, post hateful content, or impersonate a filmmaker, guest, or IV Show staff member.6. Promote products or services, or post spam, in a premiere room.7. Scrape the service, use bots or automation, interfere with how the service works, or test its security without our permission.8. Use payment fraud, stolen cards, or false chargebacks.Streams may carry an identifier linked to your account, so that copies can be traced back to where they came from. If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account and cancel your tickets without a refund. In serious cases, such as piracy, we or the filmmaker may take legal action.
Ending an account or a membershipCancelling a membership. Your account stays open and any tickets you hold keep working. After your paid period ends, you pay standard ticket prices.Closing your account. You can close your account at any time in Account > Close account. Closing it ends your membership and cancels your tickets. [Tickets you have not played are refunded / are forfeited.] What happens to your information afterwards is explained in our Privacy notice. If we close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is involved in fraud, or must be closed for legal reasons. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond. If we close your account when you have done nothing wrong, we will refund any tickets you have not played and the unused part of your membership. If IV Show closes. We will give at least [30] days' notice and refund any tickets you have not played and the unused part of your membership.
Changes to these termsIf we make a change that affects your rights, prices, or how tickets work, we will email you and show a notice in the app at least [30] days before it applies. If you do not agree to the change, you can close your account before it applies and receive a refund for the unused part of your membership. If you keep using IV Show after the change applies, the new terms apply to you. Small corrections, such as fixing typos or clarifying wording without changing meaning, apply straight away.
The legal entity and governing lawIV Show is operated by [Legal entity name], a [New York limited liability company], at [postal address]. For general questions, write to [support@iv.show]. For legal notices, write to [legal@iv.show].These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [New York] and applicable US federal law. If you have a problem, please contact us first. If we cannot, the dispute will be handled [by the state and federal courts located in Kings County, New York / through individual arbitration, as decided by counsel]. If you live outside the United States, you keep any rights that the consumer laws of your country give you.We work hard to keep IV Show running well, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the [12] months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot legally be limited. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a rule straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them to a company that takes over IV Show, and we will tell you if we do.
