PrivacyLast updated: [Month DD, 2026]
This notice explains what IV Show collects when you use iv.show and the IV Show apps for iOS and Android, why we collect it, which other companies handle any of it, and what you can ask us to do with it. IV Show is operated by [Legal entity name] ("IV Show," "we," "us"). If something here is unclear, write to [privacy@iv.show] and a person will answer.
What we collect and whyAccount details. Your name, email address, password, the invite code you used, and your profile's display name and image. We store your password in a scrambled form that we cannot read. We use these details to create your account, confirm your invite, sign you in, and show your display name when you take part in a premiere room.Tickets and membership. Which screenings you hold tickets for, your seat, when you bought each ticket, what you paid, and your membership status and renewal date. We use this to seat you, apply membership pricing, send receipts, and handle refunds.Payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive only your card brand, the last four digits, the expiry date, and your billing country and postal code. We never receive or store your full card number.Viewing activity. Which titles you have pressed Play on, where you stopped, and when each ticket's watch window started. We use this so you can pick up where you left off, so we can apply the rules of your ticket, and so we can count seats. This information stays with us. See "Analytics and what is excluded" below.Device and playback information. Device type, operating system, app or browser version, IP address, the approximate location your IP address points to (city and country), stream quality, and playback errors. We use this to deliver protected video to your device, enforce the limit on simultaneous streams, fix problems, and prevent account sharing and piracy. What you say in a premiere room. Questions you submit for a Q&A and messages you post in the room chat, shown with your display name. We use this to run the room. Other people in the room can see it.Invite requests and messages to us. If you request an invite or contact support, we keep your name, email address, and what you wrote so we can respond. We do not collect government ID, precise GPS location, your contacts, or data about you from data brokers. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on these legal grounds: providing the service you signed up for (account, tickets, playback), our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working, your consent for analytics and marketing cookies, and legal obligations such as tax record-keeping.
Third parties and what each receivesWe work with a small number of companies. Each one receives only what it needs for its job.Stripe (payments) receives your name, email address, billing details, and card details to process payments and prevent fraud.VdoCipher (protected video playback) receives a playback token linked to your session, your IP address, and device and player information. [If watermarking is switched on: an identifier linked to your account may appear faintly on the picture during playback, so that leaked copies can be traced.] VdoCipher does not receive your payment details.[Hosting and database provider] stores the information described above on our behalf.[Email delivery provider] receives your email address and the content of emails we send you, such as receipts and screening reminders.Google Analytics and Meta receive limited information from our public pages only. See "Analytics and what is excluded."Apple and Google handle app downloads through their stores under their own privacy policies. Tickets and membership are bought on iv.show, not inside the apps.[Live room provider, once live screenings launch] receives your display name and room messages to run premiere rooms.Filmmakers never receive your email address or contact details. They may see totals, such as seats sold and attendance for their screenings, and, if you take part in a Q&A, your display name and the question you asked. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our members, filmmakers, or staff, or to a buyer or successor if IV Show is ever sold or merged, in which case this notice continues to apply to your information. We do not sell your personal information. Cookies and stored preferencesEssential. These keep you signed in, protect your account, and remember your cookie choices. The service cannot work without them, so they cannot be switched off.Preferences. Your playback quality, caption, volume, and language settings. Analytics and what is excludedWhat we measure. On our public pages, we measure visits, where visitors arrive from, and how many people complete an invite request or sign up. Inside the service, we measure performance and errors with our own tools so we can fix problems. What is excluded.
